LeapAI provides executive Education in AI for African C-Level Executives. We have designed a 7-week program that builds practical AI skills and delivers an AI strategy for organisations.

 Role Overview

As an Account Executive (AE), you will own the full sales cycle from qualified lead to closed deal. You will work closely with SDRs (or generate your own pipeline) to identify opportunities and close sales.
This is a quota-carrying role critical to revenue growth, ideal for someone who thrives in a target-driven, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Own and manage the full sales cycle (prospecting → negotiation → closing)
  2. Convert qualified leads into paying customers
  3. Conduct product demos tailored to businesses and non-profit organisations
  4. Build strong relationships with key decision-makers
  5. Develop proposals, pricing, and contract negotiations
  6. Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and forecasting in CRM tools
  7. Meet and exceed monthly/quarterly sales quotas.
  8. Collaborate with SDRs, marketing, and product teams
  9. Identify new opportunities within target markets

Requirements

  1. 4–8 years of experience in sales (preferably Corporate coaching training programs)
  2. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing quota-driven environments
  3. Strong negotiation and closing skills
  4. Strong industry knowledge: Connections in multiple organisations in the country
  5. Experience selling products to businesses or enterprise clients is a strong advantage
  6. Data-driven mindset with experience in pipeline management and forecasting
  7. Excellent communication and leadership skills
